Before your first visit, you will receive a phone call from Ashley, our friendly patient care coordinator. She will ask you a few questions that can help ensure that we serve your needs and allow us to customize your new patient experience properly.
Our new dental patients in Chapel Hill experience starts with you meeting Dr. Saib to discuss your oral health history, any concerns, and the goals you would like to accomplish for optimal dental health.
Next, Dr. Saib will begin his personalized comprehensive exam. First, we will take digital X-rays (if you have recent X-rays, bring them with you) and, depending on your needs, photographs taken with an intra-oral camera. These images are projected live onto a monitor by your chair so you and Dr. Saib can see your teeth and any dental problems up close. Both digital X-rays and intra-oral cameras provide precise images for accurate diagnosis. These technologies are so sensitive that Dr. Saib can detect issues before they’re visible to the naked eye or on traditional X-rays. Dr. Saib’s new dental patients in Chapel Hill receive an oral cancer screening, which has helped save many patients. All dentists are trained to screen for oral cancers, but few practice it.

If you’ve been told you need a dental procedure but are unsure whether the method is correct for you or your oral health, you should seek a second opinion.
At Chapel Hill Advanced Dentistry, Dr. Saib offers second opinions to new dental patients in Chapel Hill who aren’t confident in the treatment plan recommendations by their dentists. Dr. Saib will provide a second opinion and will give you an unbiased opinion on your treatment recommendation. If he disagrees, he will present you with an alternative treatment recommendation and explain the reasons for his decision.
